Agenda

2:00 PM - 2:20 PM: Arrival/Networking

2:20 PM - 2:30 PM: Introductions/Opening Remarks

2:30 PM - 4:45 PM: Arlington County Presentations and Q&A

Presentation: Designing & Installing Advanced Bike Facilities, Kevin Casadei & Megan McCarty Graham

Arlington’s bike network consists of 68+ miles of bike lanes, 12+ miles of separated facilities, and 52+ miles of multi-use trails. We’ll dive how we planned and designed some recent bike facilities, coordinated installations through various delivery methods, and are continuing to update and fine tune designs to meet continuously updating guidance.

Presentation: Before & After Safety Studies & Tracking, Christine Baker

Arlington’s Vision Zero program is committed to tracking our progress toward safety through before/after studies. Some before/after studies involve assessment of specific safety treatments by collecting performance measure data across different scenarios. Other involve tracking crashes before/after project implementation.  We’ll share how we’re conducting, tracking, and communicating these assessments as we continue to learn and advance our safety program.

Presentation: Performance Parking Pilot, Melissa McMahon

Arlington is piloting a system that combines occupancy technology and pricing tools to provide better information on parking availability and influence demand for metered curb space in the County's two busiest corridors. We’ll share what we’ve learned so far, how the community has received the pilot, and what’s next.

4:45 PM - 4:55 PM: Closing Remarks

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Optional Happy Hour at Fire Works Pizza hosted by CAPSITE.
