The Chesapeake and Potomac Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (CAPSITE) is pleased to invite you to this year’s CAPSITE Annual Conference and Business Meeting on October 28, 2026. Join us for a day of professional development, including:

Lunchtime Business Meeting: Discover more about our Section with highlights from the annual report, awards, and presentations.

Networking: Connect with colleagues during the post-event social hour - Location TBD

Student Poster Session: Network with students from local universities and learn about their research or projects.
This year, a keynote panel discussion titled "AI & Emerging Technologies in Transportation" will be included in the meeting agenda. The confirmed keynote panelists are:
1. Charnita Allen, Chief Information Officer, DDOT
2. Robert "Bob" Sheehan, AI Deployment Center of Excellence, USDOT
Additionally, ITE members are invited to a pre-conference social to network with the ITE International Board of Directors (IBOD) at ITE HQ on Tuesday, October 27 at 5PM. If you are interested in attending, please select the pre-conference add-on ticket in your registration. Note that attendance is limited to 100 people, and you can attend the pre-conference social on 10/27 without attending the Annual Meeting on 10/28.

The Annual Meeting Technical Content Committee is currently accepting abstracts for presentations during the technical sessions. If you are interested in presenting, submit your abstract to abstracts@capsite.org by September 18, 2026. Submission guidelines, topics of interest, and more information can be found in the link below:
